Tambone Companies Announces New VP of Development
Palm Beach Gardens, Fla – Tambone Companies is pleased to welcome Douglas Gordon to its management team. In his role as Vice President of Development, Doug will identify and facilitate new development opportunities and provide management support of current projects. He is an experienced project engineer with extensive knowledge of the South Florida market and years of experience in the construction industry working with owner’s teams through due diligence, estimating, programming, and approvals.
Douglas was most recently a Partner at Black Diamond Residential LLC and Project Executive at Black Diamond General Contracting in Jupiter, Florida and previously held leadership positions at Hedrick Brothers Construction in West Palm Beach, Anderson-Moore Construction in Lake Park, Florida.
As a partner at Black Diamond, Douglas responsibilities included identifying and facilitating new project opportunities, overseeing residential operations, managing select commercial projects and various marketing efforts.
“I’ve known dozens of developers over the years on the construction side and when I met Lori and Richard five years ago, it was immediately apparent to me why they had such an exceptional reputation in the industry. When the opportunity arose to join their team, I was truly thrilled,” Douglas said.
“Development and construction have been parallel career paths for me and under their leadership I will be able to integrate my skills and knowledge and bring value to their team,” Douglas added.
Douglas is a member of the Economic Development Council of St. Lucie County (EDC) and one of the founders of “EXCEL,” the entrepreneurial arm of the EDC. Additionally, he is President of Scotch & Sharks Inc, a non-profit philanthropic networking group that facilitates various fundraising efforts for local charities. In his spare time, Douglas enjoys surfing, fishing, and golfing and most of all, spending time with his wife Melissa and their three children. He holds a bachelor's degree in Political Science from Montclair State University in New Jersey.
